Guest users (without an account) have their data stored locally on their device only.

- To sync your profile and scan history across your devices (account users only).

- To send important service updates (we do not send marketing emails).
Data Sharing

- AI processing providers — Label images are sent to an AI service to extract ingredient text. This is done securely and images are not retained by the provider beyond processing.
- Infrastructure providers — We use cloud services (including AWS and Cloudflare) to host and deliver the app. These providers process data only as directed by us.
- Legal obligations — We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.
Data Retention
We retain your account data and scan history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 7 days. Some data may be retained in anonymised, aggregated form for service improvement purposes.
