How do I scan a food label?

Open EatSurely AI and tap the scan button on the home screen. Point your camera at the ingredient list on the food packaging and tap the shutter button. The AI will analyse the ingredients and show you a result within a few seconds.

For best results, ensure the label is well-lit and the text is in focus before scanning.

How do I add or change my allergens?

Go to the Settings tab and select your profile. You'll see a list of all supported allergens — toggle any on or off. You can also set the severity level (Fatal, Intolerance, or Mild) for each allergen to get the right level of alert.

Can I create profiles for multiple family members?

Yes. EatSurely AI supports multiple profiles. Go to Settings and tap "Add Profile" to create a new one. Each profile has its own name, emoji, and allergen settings. Switch between profiles with a single tap from the home screen.

What languages can EatSurely AI read?

EatSurely AI can detect allergens in ingredient lists written in any language. If the label is not in English, the app will also show you a translation of the ingredient list so you can read it yourself.

What does the safety rating mean?

Safe — No allergens from your profile were detected in the product.

Warning — The product may contain trace amounts of your allergens (e.g. "may contain" statements).

Danger — One or more of your allergens were found directly in the ingredient list.

Unknown — The app could not read the label clearly. Try scanning again in better lighting.

Is my scan history saved?

Yes. Every scan is automatically saved to your History tab so you can review past products without scanning again. If you are signed in, your history is synced across your devices.

Do I need an account to use EatSurely AI?

No. You can use EatSurely AI as a guest without creating an account. Creating a free account lets you sync your profile and scan history across multiple devices.

The scan result doesn't look right. What should I do?

Try rescanning in better lighting with the full ingredient list visible. If you still believe the result is incorrect, please contact us at [email protected] with the product name and a photo of the label so we can investigate.

How do I delete my account?

To request deletion of your account and all associated data, please email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Delete my account". We will process your request within 7 days.
